Lost Art

I love old movies.

It was time where the story was more important than how many sex jokes you could place in a movie.

The actors and actresses looked good and had talent.

Everything about old movies has become a lost art.

I wish they made more like them.

What do you think as become a lost art?

  1. i agree with the movie comment. i could watch McClintock over and over and over.....
another lost art - neighbors / neighborhoods. when's the last time you talked to your neighbors, met at the mail box and chatted it up or knew ANYTHING about who lives next door. growing up, our neighbors were family. we borrowed flour, watched the kids, mowed each other's lawns and visited in the hospital. I miss that.

  2. McClintock is a great old movie. Maureen O'Hara and John Wayne always seemed to work very well together. Maybe it's because both of them had talent :)

  3. I'm an old movie buff too! They just don't make 'em like they used to! :o)
How about letting your kids play with the neighborhood kids without fear of harm? And not locking your doors throughout the day!?!

  4. The appreciation for singer/song writers. I find that so many people are more interested in the theatric on stage then the voice and instrument talent. Pop stars can't stay on key but hey they can dance and are pretty. Lyrics should be clever and heart felt!
