So what’s with the blog name?
I chose the title The Abraham Diaries based on verses in Romans 4:20-22 “Abraham never wavered in believing God’s promise. In fact, his faith grew stronger, and in this he brought glory to God. He was fully convinced that God is able to do whatever he promises. And because of Abraham’s faith, God counted him as righteous.” All of us have prayer requests. Things we lift up to God and he tells us “yes” or “no”. Then there are times when God gives us what can be the toughest answer of all “wait”. For me, it’s wanting a godly husband and family of my own. And being in my early thirties, the wait has been longer than expected. So, this blog is going to be primarily about that wait. I hope to offer humorous stories about my adventures as a "single lady" (cause I love a good laugh) and encouragement to those who are unmarried. However, I also hope that this blog speaks to anyone (married or unmarried) who God has told to “wait”. Maybe for you it’s a job, a child, a ministry that you want to start. Whatever it is, I hope you find encouragement here as God grows your faith (and mine) just like he grew Abraham’s.
